VAUGHAN MASTERS AQUATIC CLUB
The VAUGHAN MASTERS AQUATIC CLUB is excited for the upcoming swimming season. Our continued goal is to ensure that all masters swimmers reap the benefits of participation through fitness, stroke and skill improvement. We will be catering to adults, 18 years of age and older including novices (who can swim a few laps of the pool), advanced swimmers, competitive masters swimmers and triathletes.
We are privileged to once again have the services of Steve Indig as our Head Coach who is returning for his eighth season. Steve has vast experience and knowledge as a competitive swimmer, triathlete and coach. In his own career, which spanned 16 years, he participated at the Olympic Trials, National Championships, CIAU Championships and Maccabi Games in Israel and several provincial triathlons.
Steve has previous coaching experience with the Windsor Aquatic Club, a high school swim team and was a very popular addition to our VAC Age Group team where he does substitute coaching. Steve is currently a lawyer practicing in sports law and continues to successfully compete with the Vaughan Masters Swim Team and was 2006 National Champion. His coaching expertise and commitment to swimming will continue to be a great asset to our Club.
We are eager for a successful and fast swimming season, which will include attendance at the Canadian Masters National Championships held at the Etobicoke Olympium at the end of May, 2010/2011
and should be a lot of fun.
